With the purpose of addressing the urgent need for monitoring cultural properties, as defined under Article 1 of the 1954 Hague Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict, in Ukraine, an agreement between UNITAR and UNESCO was signed on 16 May 2022.

This e-learning course was created as part of the Earth Observation for Sustainable Development: Fragility, Conflict and Security project funded by the European Space Agency and aims to give a short but practical introduction to Geospatial Infomation Technology (GIT) in states affected by fragility, with a focus on remote sensing. 

Ce cours en ligne a été créé dans le cadre du projet Earth Observation for Sustainable Development: Fragility, Conflict and Security, financé par l’Agence spatiale européenne. Il vise à donner une introduction rapide et pratique aux technologies d’information géospatiale (TIG) dans les Etats affectés par la fragilité, avec un accent sur la télédétection.
